Frequently-Asked Questions

Q. Who will be teaching the kids at camp?
A. We have interviewed and hired a team of quality, caring, trained interns. They, along with the volunteers, are supervised by the Children's Ministry staff at Joy.

Q. What should my child wear to camp?
A. Comfortable, cool clothing. Each day your child will spend at least some time in the outside (during the cooler part of the day), so please dress your child accordingly, and apply sunscreen as needed.

Q. May I request my child be place in the same class as their friend?
A. Yes! We want your child's camp experience to be memorable! However, in order to best serve all of our families (and plan ahead) we ask that any placement request be made at the time of registration. It becomes difficult to move children around and balance class sizes once rosters have been made.

Q. My child has a medical condition/allergy, will they be safe?
A. Each registration form will have an area for you to indicate any special needs or concerns your child may have. Please take special care to ensure Children’s Ministry is aware of these concerns and that you remind their classroom teacher.

Q. When/where is payment due for camps?
A. Payment is due at registration for the first two camps you register for, and at least two weeks prior to the start of other camps. We accept cash, checks, Visa and Master Card. You may register by stopping by the Children’s Ministry offices in Kid Kountry during the week, or during any Worship Service. Please make all checks payable to CCOJ.
