We believe Deuteronomy 6:6-9 gives a wonderful description of how children learn. God designs children to learn through all they experience! That's why our curriculum is designed to give children the joy of discovering God's Word through all the pathways of the mind. We offer multidimensional learning, where kids are no longer just listeners—they're explorers! We help them learn about God and His Word through hands on activities that engage their intense curiosity and openness to learn new things. With their own curiosity as their guide, diving into the Bible becomes a fascinating experience. Every time your child attends they will receive age-appropriate learning experiences in a loving environment from carefully screened and trained volunteers. The 9:35 service also features singing with our own Mountaintop Band and puppets or skits reinforcing the lesson.
Nursery
6 weeks - 2 years—We believe every child is a special gift from God and should be treated with kindness and respect. Our goal is to provide a clean, safe and loving environment where each child can see and experience the love of God and enjoy coming to church. We provide loving care and teaching during each service. Through the use of "Little Blessings," a monthly theme-based curriculum, simple Bible stories, songs, and finger plays are used to help focus the children's time with us on God's name and His love. Our caregivers are trained to meet the needs of young children and volunteers are screened and carefully selected to insure that each child receives the best care possible. A pager is provided at check-in. The pager number serves as a security check as well as a pager. Children will only be released to an adult. The nursery is located in Kid Kountry. Rooms are open 15 minutes prior to each service.
Preschool/Kindergarten
3 years - Kindergarten—Our goal in the preschool is to lay the foundation for learning and to prepare children's hearts to love and worship Jesus Christ. We have a scheduled teaching program to teach children Biblical principles and about God's love. We want your child to feel welcome and a part of our program through the people and activities that are planned. Each week the children hear a Bible story, and participate in crafts, music, and fun activities that support the lesson. They also have time to play with others, and enjoy a snack. Our classrooms are equipped with age appropriate toys, furniture, and supplies. To help you reinforce the Bible truths that are taught, a Family Time paper is sent home each week. Classes are located in Kid Kountry. Children may be dropped off 15 minutes before each service. Parents must sign children in and out of class and picked up by an adult.
Elementary
Grades 1 - 3
- Grade 1 classes are located in Building 16.
- Grades 2-3 classes are located in the Wave, Building 7.
- Children may be dropped off in grade specific classrooms before the 9:35 service.
- Children are to remain with their parents for worship during the 11:15 Service and will be dismissed to their classrooms after the song service. Teachers will meet them in the Worship Center Lobby and take them to class.
The Wave: Grades 4 - 6
- Classes are located in the Wave, Building 7.
- Children may be dropped off before the 9:35 service.
