A House of Prayer
"These I will bring to my holy mountain and they will experience joy in my house of prayer" (Isaiah 56:7a).
Community Church of Joy is called to be a House of Prayer for All Nations. How can we be this light of hope to the community, nation, and world? We begin by first discovering that we as individuals are a house of prayer.
We see in Matthew 21:13 Jesus doing some house cleaning in the temple when he quotes from Isaiah 56:7b: "My house will be called a house of prayer." Then in 1 Corinthians 3:16, we are told, "Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you?"
Well then, if we as individuals are God's temple are we not also a house of prayer? How do we begin to become a house of prayer? Come and experience the joy of prayer by joining us in any one of the prayer opportunities listed to the right. Whether you are new to the journey or an experienced trekker, all are welcome. What a great instrument we become when we are a mobile home of prayer taking it everywhere we go... to work, to school, to neighborhoods, to grocery stores and restaurants.
Need Prayer? If you would like prayer for any reason, our Prayer Team and pastors are available during every worship service. Our Prayer Chapel, located in the Northeast corner of the Worship Center, is also open during worship and during the week. Seek God and see what you find.
