Traffic TeamDetails: Responsible for greeting and transporting our guests on a golf cart, from the parking lot to the Worship Center. Directing traffic and setting up traffic cones prior tarking lot. Experience: Driver's license required and must be 16 years of age. Friendly, people oriented; servant-hearted. Schedule: This opportunity requires approximately 3-4 hours one time per month. Training on the operation of golf carts and handling of equipment provided. Contact: Lisa Johnson
GreetersDetails: Greeters are on the "front line" of our welcoming ministries. As they greet, their primary purpose is to be Christ-centered, positive, outgoing, friendly and helpful. They serve outside on the walkways and inside at the Lobby doorways. Experience: Friendly; people-oriented team player; servant-hearted. Schedule: Approximately 30 minutes per week. Taste of Joy Café HostsDetails: Hosts help create a warm and fun atmosphere for fellowship. As they prepare cookies and coffee, it is their prayer to spread God's love and kindness. They serve in the Lobby. Experience: Friendly, people oriented team player willing to serve others. Schedule: This opportunity requires approximately 3-4 hours one or two times per month. Welcome CenterDetails: Welcome Center Greeters work at the Welcome Center in the Lobby communicating God's love by sharing information, providing hearing devices, helping with sermon orders, and directing others when needed. Experience: Friendly, people oriented team player willing to serve others. Schedule: Approximately 4 hours once a month. Contact: Lisa Johnson
UshersDetails: Ushers are the backbone of a good Welcoming Ministry. Their duties include: helping people who have needs or questions, helping people find seats, passing out bulletins, taking the offering at the 8:15 service, and assisting the Pastor as needed on Sunday mornings. They primarily serve in the Worship Center. Experience: Friendly; people-oriented team player; servant-hearted. Schedule: Approximately 1-2 hours per week. Contact: Lisa Johnson
Starting PointDetails: Starting Point Greeters communicate God's love by welcoming first-time visitors, sharing information with them, answering questions for them and providing them with a gift. As they greet first-time visitors, their primary purpose is to be Christ-centered, positive, outgoing, friendly and helpful. They serve in the Lobby next to the Welcome Guests banner. Experience: Friendly; people-oriented team player; servant-hearted. Schedule: Approximately 20-30 minutes both before and after each service. Contact: Lisa Johnson
Baptism HostDetails: Baptism Hosts welcome the families being baptized, answer questions for them, ensure they have seats reserved and introduce them to the Pastor. They serve in the lobby before the service. Experience: Friendly, enjoys people and babies. Schedule: This opportunity requires approximately 2-3 hours once per month. Contact: Lisa Johnson
CommunionDetails: Communion servers and preparers serve an important role on Communion Sundays. Servers are responsible for serving Communion elements of bread, juice and holding the empty tray. Preparers collaborate in the set-up and clean-up of Communion for a given worship service in this important behind-the-scenes role. Experience: Willingness to serve; patience; team player. Schedule: This opportunity requires approximately 1-2 hours once a month. Contact: Lisa Johnson
Church MiceDetails: This important behind-the-scenes position is responsible for light housekeeping and organizing in the Worship Center. Experience:Reliable, dedicated and a team player. Schedule: Requires approximately 1-2 hours twice a month. This team meets on Mondays from 4:30-5:00 PM in the Worship Center. Contact: Lisa Johnson
Medical TeamDetails: Team members are available to assist the congregation in the event that someone becomes ill during the service they are attending. They primarily serve in the Worship Center when needed. Experience: A degree or training in the medical field (ie: Nurse, Paramedic, Doctor, etc.). Schedule: Approximately 1-2 hours on Sunday morning. Contact: Lisa Johnson
Security TeamDetails: This team is the "eyes and ears" during service times, using two-way radios. They serve in the parking lot and inside the main buildings. Experience: Security background helpful but not necessary. Background check required. Schedule: Approximately 5 hours, once per month. Contact: Lisa Johnson
Tech TeamDetails: This team hands the behind-the-scenes technology that enhances the worship service and occasional special events. Includes setting up sound equipment, running the sound board, operating cameras, presenting lyrics and video, and changing lighting cues. Experience: Reliable team player with a love of technology. Computer skills not necessarily required. Training provided. Schedule: Tech Team leaders offer training during worship band rehearsals on Thursday evenings. Availability at least two Sunday mornings per month preferred but not required. Contact: Grant Robison
OasisDetails: Answer incoming calls at the Oasis reception desk and greet walk-ins, make them feel comfortable, and assist with food box and offer to pray with them. Other duties include retrieving food donations from the Worship Center; stocking food boxes and shelves. Experience:No experience needed; just a willingness to serve others for Christ. Schedule: This volunteer opportunity involves 3 to 4 hours, mornings or afternoons, in the Oasis office Monday - Thursday. Volunteer opportunity on Sundays is at the Oasis table one half hour before the service that you attend starts. Contact: Marsha Holmes
Sonshine AngelServing as a Sonshine Angel can mean volunteering to serve at a funeral reception, being a team captain for funeral receptions, sending cards to the homebound and/or visiting them. Team meets monthly to encourage one another and to pray. Contact: Marsha Holmes
