The Joy Foundation is dedicated to furthering the missions of The Joy Company and Community Church of Joy by receiving and raising gift dollars in support of the development of the Community of Joy Campus and related programs and the ministry and programs of the Church.
Purpose
The Joy Foundation receives, invests, manages and disburses funds in accordance with the wishes of the donor in order to support, promote and finance the mission and vision of The Joy Company, Community of Joy, and Community Church of Joy.
The Joy Foundation provides complete resource development and endowment management services for all of the unique non-profit Joy subsidiaries and affiliates including Joy Community School, Kid Kountry Preschool and Daycare Center, (our as yet unnamed) Youth Center, Joy Leadership Center, Joy Chapel, Arrowhead Memorial Gardens at Joy, Joy Worship, Conference & Banquet Center, Joy Resource and Library Center, Joy Performing Arts Center and the Amphitheater, Parks, Gardens and Lakes.
Contributions
The Joy Foundation encourages and receives contributions in any amount and of all types including: Cash, Appreciated Assets (stocks, bonds, real estate, collections, etc.), Gifts in Kind (products, services, etc.) and Planned or Deferred Gifts (bequests, charitable remainder trusts, gift annuities, life insurance, life estate, etc.)
Designated Contributions. Donors have the opportunity of specifically designating their contributions for various projects and programs at Joy. Please consult with The Joy Foundation staff for specific gifting opportunities and designations.

Is The Joy Foundation a tax-exempt organization?
Yes, the Foundation is recognized as a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization.
Are gifts to The Joy Foundation tax-deductible?
In general, all contributions to The Joy Foundation are deductible on both state and federal income tax returns. However, you are advised to consult your legal and financial advisors.
Is it possible to receive a lifetime income as a result of making a major contribution to The Joy Foundation?
Yes. There are several methods of making a major gift to The Joy Foundation and receiving a term certain or life income as a result. Some of the more common vehicles would include a charitable remainder annuity trust, charitable remainder unitrust, charitable lead trust, gift annuity, pooled income fund, etc.
Can donors designate their contribution for specific projects and programs at Joy?
Donors may designate their contributions for a wide variety of programs, facilities, equipment, etc. Please consult a member of the Joy Foundation Staff for designation opportunities.
Does the total amount of a designated contribution go to the purpose designated?
Yes, all contributions are applied directly to the purpose designated by the donor.
How are donors to Joy recognized for their contributions?
In accordance with the wishes of the donor, all gifts will be appropriately recognized.
What is the appropriate wording in my will or trust document if I choose to name Joy as a beneficiary?

How is Joy funding the development of the Community of Joy campus?
The development of facilities and programs on the 140-acre campus is being funded in a variety of ways, including charitable contributions, private partnerships, land leases, bond issues, debt financing, income from revenue-producing entities, etc.

Board of Directors
The management and the programs of The Joy Foundation are overseen by an elected, volunteer Board of Directors. The Board receives regular reports and meets three to four times a year in ascertaining the effective management and operation of the Foundation.
