WHY do we need to take action now?

A mission of Joy is to:

Empower God’s children to grow and serve Christ in a rapidly changing world.

Our vision is to create a healthy environment where spiritual, physical, and emotional growth will take place for our young people.

In order to fulfill this vision, the best possible facilities need to be built. We believe that this mission and vision require us to take care of our young people and to reach the coming generation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. However, we are severely hampered right now, due to our limited facilities. There is so much more we could do to reach the 30,000 or more teens in our neighborhood. There is so much more we need to do to provide for the education of our children.

That’s why...

We need to provide a youth center dedicated to our young people,a place where teenagers can build friendships and connect with God.

AND why we need to:

Expand Joy Christian School to include high school education — a key building that will be used by all ages will be our new recreation center. We believe that through the establishment of these two facilities — a state-of-the-art youth center and a multi-use recreation center, we will be able to support our children and teens on their journey to become dynamic servant-leaders in their community and the world.
