The Calling and the Challenge
A capital campaign is not primarily about fundraising, it’s about faith-raising, and expanding the Kingdom of God.
Our Purpose
The purpose of every believer is to honor God, to reflect His greatness and grace in every area of our lives. As we respond to His wonderful love for us, our hearts are filled with gratitude, and we want to be involved in His purposes and His work: advancing His kingdom. As Henry Blackaby, author of Experiencing God, and many others have encouraged us, our task is to find out what God is up to, and then to get involved with Him!
The purpose of this campaign is to reflect the wonderful grace of God, and let His grace grip our hearts so that we are completely, passionately, wholeheartedly committed to Christ and His work. It is with this motivation that the campaign seeks to raise funds to reach the next generation of servant leaders.
Our Prayer
As we reflect on God’s purposes to touch lives, you will see this campaign as a way to advance God’s kingdom. It’s not just about raising money. It is our hope and our prayer that God will touch your hearts during the campaign, and through it, to provide resources so your body of believers can have an even greater impact for Christ on your community and the world.
This campaign can produce incredible spiritual growth in our congregation. As you seek God’s heart and trust Him for great things, you will be forced to wrestle with impure motivations and selfish desires. This is a wonderful opportunity for God to work deeply in your life, and then for Him to use you to work the same way to encourage others to trust Him more than ever before. The fuel for perseverance in this campaign will come from your fellowship with God. Prayer is the breath and life-blood of every endeavor. Work as if it all depends upon you, and pray as if it all depends upon God.
Giving by Faith is Giving That Pleases God
Giving by faith happens when you decide to give an amount that will require God’s help to fulfill. Many families will be making the largest sacrificial gift they have ever made. Instead of worrying, “How can we afford this?” One should follow God’s promise and think, “We can’t wait to see how God miraculously provides what we’ve committed to give in faith!” God does provide!
