Community Church of Joy's Story

Soon after being founded in 1974, Community Church of Joy desired to be a church that was relevant for real people in the real world. As a visionary and pioneering congregation, Joy grew to be a church known for its commitment to local and global leadership. In the 1990s, Joy began planning to relocate at the crossroads of the Northwest Valley: its current location at 75th Ave. and Loop 101. With a new K-8 school in place, the congregation moved to the new campus in 1998. Joy quickly became a regional center for worship and leadership development. With the new millennium came the call to focus on making disciples of Jesus and serving the community as a dynamic missions center. Simply put, we are following our call to become God's family in order to bless the world.
