Confirmation

Confirmation is a spiritual journey for students to dig deeper into their faith and discover God’s unconditional love that he has for His children through Jesus Christ. Through this eight-month confirmation process students learn about their Christian identity, the Lutheran faith, and confess their faith as their own! They learn core Christian principles and develop their own testimony to share with the rest of the world. Confirmation is open for 9th - 12th graders and takes place during the Sunday Morning Surge.

Topics include: God our Creator, The Law and the Ten Commandments, Jesus the Man, Jesus' Ministry, Jesus the Son of God, Jesus Our Savior, Grace, The Holy Spirit, Spiritual Gifts, The Apostle's Creed, The Lord's Prayer, Baptism, Communion, Martin Luther and Lutheranism, Servanthood, Developing Your Own Testimony, and Sharing Your Faith Statement.

Requirements for Confirmation:

• Students must be in 9th - 12th grade
• No more than four absences for the year in the Sunday Morning Surge
• Develop own faith testimony and present to class
• Attend the high school winter retreat
• Attend Serve Day
• $25 Confirmation class fee (includes purchase of Luther's Small Catechism & Student Study Bible)
