Praise the Lord! $32,800 was raised on ONE Sunday during our Missions weekend May 4, 2008 to build a village in Uganda, and now we are going to Africa to dedicate the village. Partnering with Hope4Kids International, Community Church of Joy will take a team to Uganda to not only dedicate the village but also to serve the children and widows of Uganda.
About the Trip
We will be in Uganda November 6-18, 2008. The price for the mission trip is $1790 plus airfare. The mission price includes all transportation within the foreign country, hotels and breakfasts, two additional meals per day and project costs. Hope4Kids International can purchase airline tickets at a discounted mission rate; therefore, we arrange airfare roundtrip from your originating city. Because this trip is tax-deductible, we cannot include the extra cultural events in the price of the mission. These are optional and need to be paid out of pocket.
To join us, all you have to do is fill out the simple paperwork, make your payments, and we take care of everything else for you! If you have any trip-specific questions please visit Hope4KidsInternational.org or call the Hope4Kids International office at 623-979-5516. For questions specifically related to the Joy Uganda Team, please call Jo Rapps at 623-561-0500 x202. Watch for the dates of our next meeting at Joy.
About Hope4Kids International
The mission of H4KI is "to bring hope and necessary care to kids through dignity, health, joy and love."Today, across the world, there are over a billion people living in extreme poverty without basics: food, water, shelter, healthcare and education. Thousands have no access to clean water and many are dying from preventable diseases such as AIDS. At least 44 million primary school-aged children are not attending school. More than 12 million children in Africa are orphaned by the AIDS epidemic along with Malaria and Measles, which are all preventable. Hope4Kids International is committed to serving these impoverished children by leading teams on exciting two-week missions equipped with essential medical and dental supplies and other provisions. In addition, H4KI has multiple ongoing long-term economic, spiritual, orphan and feeding programs in an effort to carry our message of hope through these outreaches.
